And I love the ginormous boulder sitting out in the field. Is a glacial? I'm guessing you were close enough to the high mountains for there to have been glaciers that far downhill back in the day...
I don't know where the boulder came from...wish I were more knowledgeable about that sort of thing ;) There are a lot of those in our part of the country.
Oh my goodness, how beautiful! There is nothing better than a picnic by (or in!) a stream in the mountains. Unless it's adding your daughter to it! We will be spending a few days in the Alps in France, near the Italian border, in July. It's a stunning place, the old farm is owned by an English adoptive mother of a Chinese little girl, the Tour de France will just be passing by (keeping James in ecstasy), the food is glorious, the villages ancient and beautiful... Can't wait!! Carole xx
Carole - once again, I am just finding this comment now! Don't know why they slip by me. That sounds like such a dreamy trip, did you have a wonderful time? Wish you had a blog so I could see pictures! We spent time in Megeve when I was small, but it has been so long since I've seen the Alps. It must have been gorgeous! Hope you and your family are having a wonderful summer. xoxo
That looks like it was a wonderful day; thanks for sharing it with us!
